Cotton Patch Café is proud to support Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. As part of our community commitment, Cotton Patch Café sponsors “The Challenge” fundraising drive annually to support Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
About Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children
TSRHC treats Texas children with orthopedic conditions, such as scoliosis, clubfoot, hand disorders, hip disorders and limb length differences, as well as certain related neurological disorders and learning disorders, such as dyslexia. Since 1921, no patient family has ever received a bill for services.
The 2010 Cotton Patch Café Challenge
This years Cotton Patch Challenge raised $78,250 benefitting the young patients of the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC)- a company record that eclipses last year’s $63,000. From March 29th through May 23rd, the Cotton Patch Challenge rewarded over 930 donors who opened their hearts and contributed with charitable givings. For every $25 donated to the hospital, the Cotton Patch Challenge rewarded donors with a matching $25 gift card, proving there is such a thing as a free lunch!
This is the 5th year that Cotton Patch Café has designated the local children’s hospital as their primary charity. “TSRHC gives so much to Texas families who, otherwise, would be unable to receive the medical attention they require. Therefore, each year we strive to give more than the year before to keep this hospital thriving,” states Larry Marshall, President of Cotton Patch Café. “We are proud to be spearheading this opportunity in our community,” concludes Marshall. The Cotton Patch brand started in 1989 in Nacogdoches and has grown to 38 locations throughout Texas and New Mexico.
